Our Beliefs

Our principles are founded on the words of the Bible and in particular the teachings of the New Testament and the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ as preached by the Apostles.

There is one true, almighty, everlasting God  who is the Trinity of three persons, God The Father, Jesus Christ His Son and The Holy Spirit.

"Listen  Israel! The Lord is our God. The Lord is the only God" (Deuteronomy 6:4)

"Wherever you go, make disciples of all nations: Baptize them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and the Holy Spirit"  (Matthew 28:19)

The Bible is God’s word and is the authority on all matters of Christian life and faith.

"All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching the truth, rebuking error, correcting faults, and giving instruction for right living" (2 Timothy 3:16)

Jesus said "love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment" (Matthew 22:37.)

We are all sinners saved by the mercy of God who sent his son Jesus Christ to save us from our sin. Jesus suffered and died on the cross then rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven so that all of us who come to God through Jesus Christ can have our sins forgiven.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God sent the Son into the world, not to  condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through him". (John 3:16-17)

"-that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas and then to the Twelve".  (1 Corinthians 15: 3-5)

By our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ we can be redeemed of our misdoings.

"God puts people right through their faith in Jesus Christ. God does this to all who believe in Christ, because there is no difference at all: everyone has sinned and is far away from God's saving presence. But by the free gift of God's grace all are put right with him through Christ Jesus, who sets them free"  Romans 3:22-24.

 We are all equal.

"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus" Galatians 3:28

The Church is the body of which Christ is the head. This body is comprised of local congregations who have received salvation through Christ. We worship God, we teach and learn his word and share his word with others. We  partake of the sacraments of baptism and Holy communion.

And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers” Acts 2:42.

The Lord Jesus Christ will return.

"Galileans, why are you standing there looking up at the sky? This Jesus who was taken from you into Heaven will come back in the same way that you saw him go to Heaven" Acts 1:11.
